Digital cameras have redefined the art of photography and made a revolution with their compact size and extra ordinary features. Nikon is one such company which is developing world class imaging technology in a innovative way. Their products are well known for quality and are always priced to meet individual's reach. Nikon D50 is one of their product which has just won hearts of many customers with its amazing performance.

Nikon recently launched the This model named as D50 which is a 6 megapixel CCD-sensor-based camera. It's design is very different with a large 2 inch easily viewed monitor. The camera's dimensions are 133 mm in width, 102 mm in height, and 76 mm in depth. It weighs 620g with the battery. Under test conditions, D50's image processor allows a burst of 137 frames at 2.5 frames per second. It has 0.2 second start up time and flash synchronisation speed of one-five-hundredth of a second. This feature is quite useful when flash option is required.

The most interesting option Nikon D50 has is, it can record both RAW and JPEG images simultaneously and save it on SD cards. Unlike other digital cameras it has light weight, which weighs 540gms without batteries. This model comes with a Nikon picture project CD-ROM that has all the relevant software on it for interfacing with a computer, which will help a new user to download and check photos easily. The camera is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery which allows a user to take approximately 2,000 shots on a single charge. It is compatible with many printers and can shoot 2.5 frames per second in continuous mode. If Nikon D50 have to be to described in three simple words then they are smallest, lightest and the easiest to use. The D50 is the perfect combination of intelligent, easy-to-use features and impeccable image quality. Its features make a person feel it as a definite buy and a must accessory at home.
